WE ARE Blessed

G-d has Blessed our congregation with wonderful caring people.

Kerem El is partnering with The Olive Tree Foundation for Education .  This is a scholarship fund founded by the Olivos family, which supports the educational endeavors of underprivileged youth in Latin America.

Recently, our congregation collected donations to buy eye glasses to be given out during the mission trip that Dr. Olivos and his family went on.  The Olivos family shared with us about their blessed experience.  Over 900 people were fitted with glasses thanks to the joint efforts of eye doctors from Christ Fellowship in West Palm Beach, Fl and the Olivos family, including Dr. Olivos’ father in Peru, who is also an eye doctor.  

The Olivos children and Kayla, their friend who went with them, all had a part in ministering to these people who needed glasses.  Their trip also included visiting the orphanage where a young man had been the recipient of a scholarship through their foundation.

Our congregation has begun taking contributions toward helping with the scholarships in the future as well as for the purchase of glasses that will be given out on their next mission trip.  Dr. Olivos has invited anyone from our congregation that feels the calling to go with them next year.   Dr. Olivos and his family ask that we keep them in prayer as they prepare for future trips.
