Shalom,
We had the first
Sisterhood Meeting of Kerem El Synagogue.
There has been an
overwhelming desire to have a special time for the women of our Synagogue.
Each month there will be a meeting with a new theme or focal point
for discussion. This month we
focused on our roles as women in our homes and in our Synagogue. Our main goal as women is to grow closer to G-d.
Each woman wrote a
prayer request on a card that was placed in a basket.
At the end of the meeting we each picked a card.
For one month we will be praying for the need on the card that we
picked.
Some of the needs of
the Synagogue were addressed and the enthusiasm to help fill those needs
was truly a blessing.
G-d is using the
women of Kerem El to be a light to their families as well as to their
communities.
Next month we will
have a High Holiday Workshop.
September
through October will be busy at Kerem El as we prepare for the High Holy
Day Services. This schedule
