SCRIPTURES

Mark 7:20-23: That which proceeds out of the man, that is what defiles the man.  For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, deeds of coveting, and wickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride and foolishness.  All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man.

Matthew 15:18-20: But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man.  For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders.  These are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the man.

Numbers 12: Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses…and they said, “Has the L-rd indeed spoken only through Moses?  Has He not spoken through us as well?”…And suddenly the L-rd said to Moses and Aaron and to Miriam, “You three come out to the tent of meeting.”…Then the L-rd called Aaron and Miriam.  He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I the L-rd, shall make Myself known to him in a vision.  I shall speak with him in a dream.  Not so with my servant Moses, He is faithful in all My household; with him I speak mouth to mouth, even openly and not in dark sayings…why are you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?…Behold, Miriam was leprous.

Isaiah 1:10-15-paraphrased: I have had enough of your burnt offerings…When you come to appear before Me do not bring your worthless offerings.  I cannot endure iniquity and they have become a burden to me.  Your hands are covered with blood.

V.16           Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean.  Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight.  Cease to do evil.  Learn to do good.  Seek justice, reprove the ruthless, defend the orphan, plead for the widow.

Now come, let us reason together, says the L-rd, “Though your sins are as scarlet, they will be as white as snow (Baheres); though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool (S’eis).

As we approach Passover let us remember that we all now have been redeemed and have been made G-D’S own special people whose sins will not be remembered as far as the east as is from the west.  No more red or scarlet but white as snow. Halelluah!!
