VAYIGASH
Genesis
44:18-47:27
Ezekiel
37:15-28
Matthew
23-25
Luke
6:9-16
We are fast approaching the end of the book of Genesis and
the beginning of the nation being readied to go into the Promised Land.
This week we read how Judah draws near to Joseph to plead for young
Benjamin to be released. He, Judah, will offer himself to the Viceroy whom
he did not know was his brother Joseph.
G-d reveals thru Joseph that everything happens by His will
only, and for His purpose as Romans 8:28 reveals. It is here in this
Parasha that G-d tells us thru the prophet Ezekiel that the nation of
Israel is sanctified and back from the world of exile to the Promised Land
of Israel.
Before the time comes of complete restoration, the world
has to go thru the full cup of iniquity while G-d protects His people and
those that have been grafted into the olive tree. G-d has slowly brought
His people back from exile and continues to do so to this day.
As many have read and even seen on the movie and TV screen
(in the Left Behind series), The Man of Sin, (antichrist) must be
revealed. The birth pains continue to grow larger and larger. The Man of
Sin, unlike our Messiah who came and cried and offered himself for his
people (Luke 19:41), will come and be sold out to evil and rebellion
against G-d. He will be a man of LAWLESSNESS. He will exalt
himself above G-d and demand total worship and honor. He will encourage
people to sin, deceive many with his words and counterfeit miracles, signs
and wonders.
He will then call for the destruction of G-d's people and
those who have joined themselves to the house of Israel by being grafted
in (Romans. 11:17). Baruch HaShem (PTL), The Man of Sin will have only a
short time to rule and then Messiah will come, destroy the Man of Sin, and
the Kingdom of G-d will be here.
We must respond by being prepared and not be blind to
seeing the hand of G-d. Joseph's brothers were blind when they came
before him and they did not recognize him and did not see the hand of G-d.
Be ready.
